C&A aims to offer its customers a ‘special experience every day’ when they are shopping. The retailer does this by investing in both its “clicks” and “bricks”. 2018 marks the beginning of a major implementation wave of C&A’s new store concept in which the focus is on a light and modern touch.

To provide direction for these new fit-out projects, C&A needed to beef up its operations, both in the long term and also on a project-specific basis.  In the light of the positive experience gained from previous projects, C&A called on the Quares Design & Build team to provide that reinforcement.

To provide long-term support, Quares seconded a full-time project manager to C&A in the middle of January, for a minimum period of 1 year. Quares has handled the project management side of the redesign works in the C&A store in Tournai on a project basis, using a LEAN planning principle for the first time.

The store was handed over at the beginning of March after works lasting 6 weeks.

C&A will also be using the Design & Build team for the forthcoming redesign and re-fit of the store at the Waasland Shopping Center in Sint-Niklaas.
